STRATHMORE, California — Adults in Strathmore who did not finish high school have a potential route back to education through a public library program. Tulare County Library says it offers full-ride scholarships for Career Online High School, a fully online high-school diploma program designed for adults who were unable to start or complete traditional high school.
According to the library’s Literacy Center information page, the program is aimed at adults 19 and older. The county describes flexible, self-paced study and says one-on-one tutoring is available through its literacy service.
How to ask about eligibility
The library provides COHS@tularecountylibrary.org as its program inquiry address. Prospective students can contact the enrollment team to learn about eligibility, prerequisites, scholarships, available places and the current application process. The phrase “full-ride scholarship” on the library website does not guarantee that every applicant will be accepted.
Keep admission documents and personal identification within official enrollment channels. Do not send sensitive school records or identity documents to unofficial social-media accounts presenting themselves as the program.
Other support beyond a diploma
The Tulare County Library Literacy Center also describes adult help with English, pronunciation, computer skills, GED preparation, driver’s license written-test preparation, resumes and citizenship-test study. Some activities are delivered online, while others are offered through the center. Schedules and enrollment requirements vary, so readers should confirm how each service operates.
What about the Strathmore Branch?
The local public library has a long history at 19646 Road 230, Strathmore. That branch is part of the broader Tulare County Library network, but this program’s enrollment contact is the county Literacy Center, not automatically a service delivered in person at Strathmore. Residents should verify where and how participation is arranged.
For Literacy Center assistance, the county lists (559) 713-2745 and Literacy@tularecountylibrary.org. These services may offer a practical alternative to paying for a private diploma-preparation product, subject to eligibility.
